We have moved into an omakoti within the last month and there is a long pre-existing major crack one of the foundational basement walls that appears to extend through from the internal wall to the outside. It spans through multiple walls. It has been said from the old owners that this crack has existed for many many years and has not changed, however I would still like to get a structure engineer's opinion, or also a solution to patch and fix the issue.
