Fireplace renovation
- Demolish and remove the existing fireplace (inc concrete slab) down to the floor.
- Disconnect the fireplace from the chimney; cap/seal the flue to preserve the chimney for future use.
- Haul away and dispose of all rubble and debris safely.
- Patch the exposed floor and wall area: this may involve filling in a hole or recess in the floor slab and plastering the wall where the chimney opening was.
- (Final surface finishing will be done during the below flooring phase.)
